Siglion is a development partnership between Sunderland City Council, igloo and Carillion to carry out a 20 year programme to transform the city of Sunderland.
It was launched in April 2015 to carry out Sunderland’s largest ever regeneration project to create new jobs and places to work, live and relax at 5 key sites.
In addition, Siglion has taken ownership of an investment portfolio of 100 industrial, retail and office properties with around 700 tenancies across the city.
When Siglion began its work, awareness of its aims and objectives was understandably low amongst the local business community and residents. Since previous organisations had failed to build a momentum for the regeneration of the city, it was vital that Siglion became quickly established to ensure that their plans were efficiently and accurately communicated to:
• Tenants and prospective tenants of their properties
• National and international investment communities
• Local movers & shakers and stakeholders
• The people of Sunderland
Hunter Johnstone were appointed in August 2015 to help position Siglion as the company that believes in Sunderland and will get results for the benefit of everyone in the city.
To date, Hunter Johnstone has designed and built the Siglion website – www.siglion.co.uk which is a vital gateway for local residents, investors, business tenants and the media to learn about the company’s plans and more importantly, comment on their impact.
We have also undertaken a comprehensive design and installation programme for signage to brand the company’s 1 million square feet of properties as Siglion Workspaces. Printed material to promote the space at each location is also being produced.
Plus to keep the citizens of Sunderland on their toes, Hunter Johnstone worked with organiser Steve Cram on the planning and branding of the Siglion 10K and Half Marathon in May 2016 – an event that will be taking place again in Sunderland in 2017.
